Dennis Javier Jasso
hablo de lo que queda del río
en ese tiempo en el Río Puerco
hablo de la memoría del agua
en ese tiempo en el Río Puerco
ya te digo en ese tiempo
el Río Puerco era como una flor
yo me acuerdo
aunque estaba muy chiquito
I speak to what is left of the river
I speak to the memory of water
And I tell you at that time
the Rio Puerco was a flower
      I remember..even though I was young...I remember

JORDAN WAX
Jordan Wax (fiddle, accordion, vocals) grew up in Missouri and was traditionally trained by master Ozark fiddler Fred Stoneking and Central Missouri dance fiddler John White.  He worked as bandleader and accordionist for a Jewish dance band for years before his work with Missouri and New Mexican fiddle styles inspired him to travel to Mexico for a 6-month immersion in Mexican huapango fiddling in the Huasteca region of San Luis Potosí.

Lone Piñon is an acoustic duo from Northern New Mexico whose music celebrates the diversity of their region's cultural roots.  www.lonepinon.com

LARA MANZANARES
Lara Manzanares is a bilingual singer-songwriter from Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. In addition to singing the Mexican boleros, rancheras, and corridos of her sheep ranching childhood, Lara also composes her own music in both English and Spanish. Through a combination of storytelling and songs both playful and sincere, Lara draws on her New Mexican roots and her experiences living in various cities across the U.S. as she sings about love, loss, a sense of place - and the joy of eating cactus!
